寫完，才發現這首歌還滿適合獻給正在為自由奮戰的野草莓們。不過，最近聽的老歌裡，除了〈Blowin' in the Wind〉之外，一開始野草莓此事讓我想到的歌倒是 Iggy Pop 的〈The Passenger〉。本來是想寫〈The Passenger〉的，但前天節目正好講的是 Bob Dylan，而〈Blowin' in the Wind〉的某些歌詞挺符合我這兩天的心境，就先來翻翻這首歌吧。
這首歌可以說是 Bob Dylan 真正開始大紅大紫的歌曲，儘管先前首張專輯的〈The House of the Rising Sun〉頗受好評，但終究不是自己的創作。而一開始這首歌沒有真正受到大眾注意（因為 BD 的第一張專輯實在賣得太爛了……），反倒唱片發行後三個月，哥倫比亞唱片讓旗下另一組民謠團體 Peter, Paul & Mary 翻唱錄製了這首〈Blowin' in the Wind〉，才開始讓很多人注意到這首歌，並對當時才二十出頭的 Bob Dylan 可以寫出這樣的歌詞而感到訝異萬分。對照當時美國國內的政治情況，這首歌引發了許多人的共鳴，使許多的青年傳唱著，成了當時年輕人的國歌。至今曾經翻唱過這首歌的人已經多不可數，其中更不乏知名的貓王 Elvis Presley、Bruce Springsteen 跟 Stevie Wonder，近期崛起的新生代女歌手 Katie Melua 也曾表演過這首歌曲。（聽不慣老式民謠風格的人可以去聽聽 Katie Melua 的版本，應該會喜歡喔！）不過，應該有不少人都是在電影《阿甘正傳》裡聽到這首歌的，Bob Dylan 的老搭檔 Joan Baez 為女主角 Jenny 在電影裡發聲演唱了這首歌，讓不少人開始對 Bob Dylan 產生興趣。
